It’s good to know someone with a crane. Just ask the folks at St. Joseph the Worker, a nonprofit organization in Phoenix that assists homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through quality employment.
“Our volunteers stand outside our welcome center all day, and with the heat, it was becoming a concern,” said Candace Sherwood, SJW’s marketing coordinator. “We had an air-conditioned booth they could use, but we did not have any way of getting it inside our access gates.”
That’s when Sherwood placed a call to Sundt and got the help she needed. Sundt has a history of partnering with SJW as part of our commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work. The annual Thirst Aid bottled water drive, started by the Sundt in 2010, collects bottles of water for the organization to distribute to the homeless each summer. This year’s drive netted 200,000 bottles of water.
“I reached out to Sundt and they got right on board and installed the booth ASAP. This is another example of your tremendous support of our organization. Thank for helping in such a very big way!”
