Need to find something on the San Jose State University campus? A Sundt employee can probably help.
We are the design-build contractor for the university’s $102 million Campus Village Phase 2 complex. The student housing construction facility will have 850 beds, common study rooms, a lounge, multi-purpose room, recreation room and other support spaces. San Jose State’s enrollment this past fall was 32,773.
Our crews are familiar with the campus after finishing renovation, expansion and seismic upgrades at the Spartan Complex last July. Spartan Complex is a group of buildings totaling 176,062 square feet that house the school’s athletics facilities, kinesiology department and indoor aquatic center.
Campus Village 2 celebrated its topping-out last October. The event, which marked final beam placement at the top of the concrete structure, attracted hundreds from the university and local community. The roof and exterior skin were finished in January and the 10-story facility is scheduled to be complete in July.
Campus Village 2 is the ninth project we have performed for the California State University System.
The great work our teams do is the key to obtaining repeat work with clients like the CSU System,” said Sundt Vice President Teri Jones.
