The Las Cruces High School (LCHS) “Bulldawgs” know how to put up a good fight – whether it’s against a rival sports team or a disease like breast cancer. Sundt helped the Bulldawgs show their fighting spirit last week by using a boom lift to install several giant pink breast cancer awareness ribbons on the new, 110-foot-long steel pedestrian bridge that arches over a busy roadway and connects to the school. The bridge was installed by Sundt and joint venture partner Wooten Construction last July as part of their $36 million K-12 education construction project to expand and improve the LCHS campus.
As one team member put it, “There was a friendly competition between schools to see who could show the most support for breast cancer awareness month. They supplied the ribbons and we helped them trump the competition.”
