DALLAS (September 17, 2021) – Omar Fernandez has joined Sundt Construction, Inc., as a project scheduler in its Transportation Group in its Dallas office. He will support pursuits throughout all of Texas and the rest of its regional markets.
“Omar’s extensive construction knowledge and experience will allow him to excel in his role,” said Bruce Bacon, Sundt preconstruction manager for the Texas Transportation Group. “We’re looking forward to having him join our team and lead us to future success.”
A 27-year construction veteran, Fernandez brings experience as a segment manager, superintendent, project engineer, scheduler, structure engineer, cost engineer and estimator. He has managed and supervised structure operations on large and complex heavy highway projects for the state of Texas and coordinated with departments of transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and state and local jurisdictions on multiple projects.
A native of Hermosillo, Mexico, Fernandez earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University Autonomous of Guadalajara.
