TEMPE, Ariz. (September 18, 2018) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) secured the top spot on Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Southwest Top Contractors list. ENR, the construction industry’s principal trade publication, creates its regional list based on the past year’s construction revenue.
“Securing the top spot on the ENR Southwest rankings reflects what a strong year it was for the company and our employee-owners,” said G. Michael Hoover, Sundt’s President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. “We are very pleased with our position in the rankings.”
Sundt reported regional revenue of more than $720 million during 2017. The company, which also performs work in California and Texas, ranks No. 45 on ENR’s California list and No. 59 on the Texas & Louisiana list.
Sundt is currently working on Banner-University Medical Center Tucson (a joint venture with DPR Construction), I-10/Ina Improvements near Tucson (a joint venture with Kiewit) and the Caterpillar Surface Mining & Technology Office, also in Tucson. The company is wrapping up its work on Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium (a joint venture with Hunt Construction) in Tempe and finished the Union Tempe project in Tempe earlier this summer. Early this year Sundt completed the Santan Vista Water Treatment Plant Expansion in Gilbert, Ariz., and just completed the APS Four Corners Selective Catalytic Reduction Retrofits in Farmington, New Mexico.
Nationally, Sundt ranks No. 65 on ENR’s Top 400 2018 Contractors list. Headquartered in Tempe, Sundt also ranked No. 40 on the publication’s national list of Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts list, and No. 48 on its national list of Top 100 Construction Management-at-Risk Firms.
