TEMPE, Ariz. (November 4, 2024) – Sundt Construction has promoted Stephen Bradford to President of its new Heavy Industrial and Mining Group.
Sundt is one of the mining industry’s leading contractors in the West, with expertise in base and precious metals. In addition to mining, the new group leads Sundt’s efforts in the heavy industrial market. Sundt’s heavy industrial portfolio, led by its team in Charlotte, North Carolina, includes projects in power, forest industries, heavy manufacturing, renewable fuels and chemicals nationwide.
“Steve has a long history of successfully leading large teams,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Cade Rowley. “He has been instrumental in growing our work in all of our industrial markets and has the distinction of delivering Sundt’s largest project to date.”
Bradford’s experience with preconstruction and his strong understanding of contracts will provide tremendous leadership as the company continues to grow in the mining and heavy industrial markets.
During his almost 20-year career with Sundt, Bradford has worked on water and wastewater treatment facilities, manufacturing projects, power plants and mining projects. He began his career as a field engineer before transitioning to preconstruction. Previous roles include estimator, project engineer, preconstruction project manager and preconstruction manager.
Bradford is a certified Envision Sustainability Professional. He has Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in engineering and construction management.
Sundt has a long history of mining and heavy industrial projects dating back to 1939. Today, the firm is working on several mining projects in southern Arizona and has a variety of heavy industrial projects across the Southeastern United States.
