Sundt Promotes Sprecco to Building Group Safety Manager

 |  Press Release

Paul SpreccoSAN DIEGO (June 19, 2017) – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently promoted Paul Sprecco to Building Group Safety Manager. Sprecco will support the project teams in managing the health, safety, security and environmental components of the company’s Building Group projects.

Prior to this position, Sprecco was the Area Safety Manager in Southern California. Sprecco, a San Diego native, has been with Sundt for 32 years, working on projects ranging from education and healthcare to federal government work. His project resume totals more than $2 billion.

He was instrumental in developing Sundt’s construction safety program, “Safety by Choice.” The program emphasizes the “why” of staying safe, not just how to be safe. It encourages employee-owners to focus on the many reasons they want and need to stay safe: their families, friends, health, livelihood and ability to do their favorite activities. The “Safety by Choice” program helped Sundt earn the Associated General Contractors of America Grand Award in 2016, given annually to the nation’s safest construction company.

Sprecco is a member of the Safety Committee for the AGC of America and the AGC San Diego Chapter’s Safety Committee. He is a Certified Health and Safety Technician with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

In addition to his professional associations, Sprecco volunteers his time at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Lakeside, California, and serves as an elected official on the Lakeside Community Planning Group.
