EL PASO, Texas. (January 26, 2024) -Sundt Construction recently promoted Angelica Rosales to project director. In her new role, she will lead business development, proposals and relationship management from preconstruction through construction.
“Angelica has built invaluable relationships within our community and contributed to Sundt’s most impactful project awards and community contributions,” said Vice President and Regional Manager Joseph Riccillo. “We’re excited to see her thrive in this new role.”
Rosales has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and business development. She started in 2018 as a business development representative for Sundt and has been instrumental in obtaining over $500 million worth of projects for Sundt’s El Paso region. Rosales has a master’s degree in construction management from the University of Texas at El Paso and a bachelor’s degree in corporate communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
Rosales is a current director for the Texas Lyceum and sits on the board of directors for the Hospitals of Providence East Campus and the Borderplex Alliance. She is also on the board of the El Paso Community College Foundation. In addition to her board roles, she chairs the Civic Action Lab for the El Paso Chamber and sits on the Public Service Board Selection Committee.
Rosales is a Hunt Aspen Institute Fellow. She was recognized for her work in the community of El Paso with a Women of Impact Award in 2020 from the El Paco Inc. and was a Women of Distinction 2023 honoree from the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce.
During the past decade, Sundt has completed millions of dollars worth of construction in the El Paso region. The company recently completed the I-10 Connect project, making the final adjustments for smoother traffic flow between the TxDOT El Paso loop systems. Its GO 10 collector-distributor lanes project completed in 2019 has been awarded numerous awards, including the prestigious Build America Award, honoring its most impressive construction projects. Sundt is currently building the Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center and Texas Western Hall for the University of Texas at El Paso, both of which will bring cutting-edge technology for students and staff.
