SACRAMENTO, Calif. (October 4, 2018) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) has added Mike Mielcarek to the company’s Building Group, California District. Mielcarek will serve as a project executive in Sacramento.
“We are happy to add Mike to our office,” said Ed Segovia, Sundt’s Vice President and Sacramento Regional Director for the Building Group, California District. “Mike’s experience in our core markets will bring expertise to our current and future projects in Northern California.”
In his new role, Mielcarek will oversee numerous projects across Northern California. He will manage work on the Sacramento State campus, including the Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex. The five-story, 94,000-square-foot building will house both wet and dry biology and chemistry teaching and research labs. Mielcarek will also oversee two senior living projects expected to break ground this fall.
Mielcarek brings over 20 years of project executive experience in the construction industry. His expertise includes healthcare, education, municipal, transportation and government sectors. In his previous role at another construction firm, Mielcarek managed multiple large projects.
A Wisconsin native, Mielcarek earned his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Sundt has over 70 years of project work throughout the state of California. The company has offices in Sacramento, Irvine and San Diego. In addition to the Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex on the Sacramento State campus, Sundt is also expanding, renovating and modernizing Truckee High School and Elementary School, as well as building the new Sunnyvale Hilton Garden Inn in San Jose.
