Tampa, Fla. (December 21, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Sundt Construction, recently presented a check for $3,000 to Operation Homefront in Florida.
“Our employee-owners are proud to support the mission of Operation Homefront,” said David Rieken, the Foundation’s Florida region board member and Sundt vice president and regional manager. “This organization provides essential services for military families who are facing hardship.”
Operation Homefront (OH) programs are designed to provide crucial assistance during specific times of the year and at significant points in a family’s journey. Their primary focus is on assisting families of junior enlisted service members and post-9/11 wounded, ill or injured. They work to increase access to relief and support services for military families to ease financial burdens and build strong, stable and secure families.
The Florida region of the Sundt Foundation was established in June 2023. The check to Operation Homefront represents the foundation’s first grant for the region. The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to community nonprofits. Organizations are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
