“In the fourth quarter of 2018, the Northern California Sundt Foundation committee provided $6,000 in grants to local nonprofit agencies,” said Ed Segovia, the Sundt Foundation’s Northern California region board member. “Continuing its support of disadvantaged children and families in our local communities, the three organizations that the committee selected are: Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento and Sacramento Children’s Home’s Crisis Nursery Program.”

The Sundt Foundation awards grants each quarter to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners. Fourth-quarter grants were equally divided between the organizations:

Child Advocates of Silicon Valley received $2,000 to support its mission of providing stability and hope to children who have experienced abuse and neglect, by being a powerful voice in their lives.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento, which received $2,000, provides low-income families a means to attain home ownership through volunteer-constructed housing and 0%-interest mortgages.

Sacramento Children’s Home received $2,000 to support keeping families together and reduce the number of young children who enter the foster care system. The organization has made a significant difference in the lives of 6,900 children and 4,300 families.
