SACRAMENTO, Calif. (September 12, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $11,400 to three nonprofits in Northern California during its current giving round. Yolo Crisis Nursery, Conservation Corps North Bay, and Destiny House Group Home each received a $3,800 grant.

“For the Foundation to contribute to three amazing organizations that help to brighten the future and wellbeing for children in the community is a great thing,” said Madison Jones, the Sundt Foundation President and Northern California region board member. “These organizations are deserving, and we are delighted to be able to support their efforts.” Two people holding a check in an office.

Yolo Crisis Nursery is an essential resource for disadvantaged children and families. With the help of the grant, Yolo Crisis Nursery can continue with its Safe Stays and Wraparound Services program that provides respite care, meals, and a home-like environment.

Conservation Corps North Bay’s mission is to help disadvantaged youth through case management services. The grant will directly affect and support barrier removal services, transportation for corps members, emergency expenses and childcare.

Destiny House Group Home provides programs focusing on mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being to disadvantaged youth in group homes. The funds will be used directly for support services, supplies, social outings, professional services, and other services to help develop and care for children in group homes.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Sacramento-area and Bay area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
