IRVINE, Calif. (February 16, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $6,000 in grants to three Southern California nonprofits during its current giving round.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Southern California area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
“Through the Sundt Foundation, our employee-owners have helped many organizations achieve their mission to help the less fortunate in Southern California,” said Jim Householder, the Sundt Foundation’s Irvine region board member. “Each of these organizations is well-deserving of a grant to support their mission.”
Breast Cancer Angels, receiving $1,000, provides immediate everyday assistance for those undergoing breast cancer treatments. Assistance includes housing assistance, transportation, food, utility payments, legal and emotional support.
Grace Medical and Social Services, which received $2,500, support low-income immigrant families through their food pantry program.
Lutheran Social Services of Southern California received $2,500 to support their Our Children Project, which offers support services to children who have experienced abuse.
