SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 11, 2020) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $10,300 in grants to four northern California nonprofits during its third-quarter disbursements.
“We’re so grateful for all the employee-owners here in northern California that make giving these grants possible,” said Madison Jones, Sundt Foundation’s Northern California board member. “It’s inspiring to see the positive impact these organizations have within their community, and we’re happy to be a part of it.”
Third-quarter grants include:
Berkeley Food and Housing Project, which received $2,600, helps homeless people to move into affordable permanent housing as quickly as possible and remain housed. They also provide an extensive range of food and social support services.
Love a Child Missions received $2,600 to continue serving homeless women and children of Contra Costa County by providing emergency shelter, food, and clothing, and offering substance recovery programs, job training, educational support and many other programs.
Timothy Tuition Program received $2,500 to support foster children by supplying them with necessities and offering educational support.
Together We Rise Corporation, which received $2,600, supports foster children using their Rapid Response program for foster youth in college. The program provides immediate access to flexible resources for students facing housing displacement, food insecurity, a lack of education technology and access to mental healthcare, among other needs.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Northern California charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
