EL PASO, Texas (August 10, 2020) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $9,500 to two local El Paso nonprofits for its third-quarter distributions. The Foundation awards quarterly grants to El Paso-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
“Giving back to the places where we live and work is extremely rewarding for our employee-owners,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s Vice President. “Each of these organizations is very deserving of their grant and makes such a positive impact on our community.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso received $4,500 to support youth living under the poverty line by providing a mentor that assists with educational, emotional and mental support.
The Caring Foundation of Texas, which received $5,000, provides health services to uninsured and medically underserved children. Their Care Van program collaborates with health departments, schools and community organizations across the state to provide oral care, hearing and vision screenings and health education.
