“We truly enjoy giving back to our community,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s Vice President. “Funding organizations such as Make-a-Wish where we are able to give a terminally ill child an unforgettable memory that their family will cherish forever, is what the Sundt Foundation is about.”

First-quarter grants include:

Junior Achievement of the Desert Southwest, Inc. received $4,000 to support funding for their education programs, which serve at-risk and economically vulnerable youth.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation, El Paso Region, which received $5,000, provides children who have recently been diagnosed with a critical illness to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment by granting them a “wish.”

National Inventors Hall of Fame, Inc. received $1,000 to give underprivileged children access to summer learning programs that encourage innovation, hands-on STEM activities and more.

The Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation, which received $2,500, provides support to local schools with a low-income population by donating new uniforms for children who otherwise could not afford them.

The Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. received $3,000 to help fund their new Care Van. This grant will provide supplies and testing services to underprivileged families who are either uninsured or underinsured.

The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
