“Both of these organizations are making a large difference in our community, and we are more than happy to help,” said Rachel Perez, Irvine’s Sundt Foundation board member. “To have this opportunity to give back every quarter is something very memorable and unique.”

Over 750,000 low-income renters in Southern California do not have access to affordable homes, and Innovative Housing Opportunities is looking to change that. The nonprofit will use its grant to help build and operate affordable housing communities in the area.

The grant for the Priority Center Ending the Generational Cycle of Trauma will fund its Bright Futures Program. The program addresses child abuse in several areas by providing outreach, prevention and intervention services for children and adults.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Los Angeles and Orange County-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
