IRVINE, Calif. (August 10, 2020) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $6,300 in grants to two Southern California nonprofits during its third-quarter disbursements.
“Our employee-owners in the Southern California region are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Jim Householder, the Sundt Foundation’s Irvine region board member. “Both of these organizations are well-deserving of their grants.”
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Southern California area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
Third-quarter grants include:
No Limits for Deaf Children, which received $3,150, provides essential language and literacy therapy, academic instruction and activities to promote social-emotional development among deaf children.
Youth Employment Service of the Harbor Area, Inc. received $3,150 to provide direct job-related education and support services for low-income youth in Orange County. Due to the increased need for employment services during the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization is offering employment skills and personal finance workshops, mock interviews and job search assistance courses online.
