CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 9, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $9,600 in grants to three nonprofits in the Charlotte area during its current giving round. Young Women’s Christian Association of the Central Carolinas, Lions Services and Exposure Project Incorporated each received $3,200 grants.
“The Foundation’s purpose is to help communities prosper, and it is nonprofits like these that make that happen,” said Andre Castaneda, Charlotte’s Sundt Foundation board member. “There is so much these organizations have to offer, and we are pleased to help them continue their work.” 
Young Women’s Christian Association of the Central Carolinas will use the grant to help continue its year-round academic after-school and summer programming for the community’s youth.
Lions Service will put its grant towards purchasing sewing machines and fixtures to help provide continuous employment to the visually impaired.
Exposure Project Incorporated’s grant will help provide resources and tools that will expose youth to the opportunities of different careers and expand their career options.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Charlotte-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and revised by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
