SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 18, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $9,000 in grants to three northern California nonprofits during its most recent quarterly grant cycle.
“With the effects of the pandemic continuing, it’s important to support nonprofits that make such a positive impact within the Northern California community,” said Madison Jones, Sundt Foundation President and Northern California regional board member.
Nonprofits receiving the grants include:
The Sacramento SPCA received $5,000 to fund its Paw Pantry program. The program provides dog and cat food and litter to pet owners who are currently struggling financially. Additionally, the organization delivers pet food to seniors who are unable to leave their homes.
Kaleidoschool received $1,400 to support scholarships for its homeschooling program for low-income families.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Holy Spirit Conference Transition to Permanent Housing Solutions received $2,600 to provide services such as food, shelter and housing assistance to those who are experiencing homelessness or struggling to find permanent housing.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Northern California charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
