IRVINE, Calif. (May 23, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $9,000 in grants to three local nonprofits during its second-quarter disbursements.
“At Sundt, our purpose is to build environments where our clients, employee-owners and communities prosper, which is why it is important we invest in the Greater Los Angeles area,” said Robert Stokes, the Sundt Foundation’s Irvine region board member. “This quarter’s donations show our employee-owners’ belief in giving back to the community we live and work in.”
Grants of $3,000 were equally divided between these organizations:
Bridge to Hope, Inc., provides temporary housing placement and case management services to homeless, disadvantaged adults, leading to permanent housing.
Lion Sight and Hearing Foundation aims to restore the gift of sight and hearing to those who cannot afford treatment. Over the last 30 months, the Foundation has served 70 clients in the geographic region of Orange County.
New Image Emergency Shelter for the Homeless, Inc., will use the grant to support its School Needs program which helps students with bus passes, school supplies, uniforms and introductory STEM classes.
The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
