SAN ANTONIO (September 12, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded grants to five nonprofits in Central Texas during its current giving round. Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio, the Kristine Meza Foundation, Any Baby Can of San Antonio, Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries and Open T.R.A.I.L Ranch will each use their funding to support their missions.
“All five organizations are dedicated to making real change in the community,” said Chad Yount, the Sundt Foundation’s Central Texas region board member. “They truly are deserving, and we are pleased to award them these grants.”
Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio will use its grant to continue its innovative afterschool and summer programs that prepare at-risk youth for college and the workforce.
The Kristine Meza Foundation helps domestic violence survivors and will use its grant toward local shelters, community outreach programs and financing domestic abuse survivors.
Any Baby Can of San Antonio focuses on providing families with baby formula during the national shortage. The grant will help continue their efforts to help families in the area.
Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries works to help children at risk of poor educational outcomes. The grant will be used for support programs like the four-year student mentoring program, basic resource assistance, and enrichment opportunities.
Open T.R.A.I.L. Ranch offers equine therapy sessions that are specially tailored to a variety of disabilities. With the grant, the organization can continue to provide equine-assisted activities and treatments that help individuals reach social, rehabilitative and development goals.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local San Antonio and Austin-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
