Sundt Foundation Awards $7,300 to Local El Paso Nonprofits

EL PASO, Texas (April 20, 2016) Sundt Construction, Inc.‘s El Paso employees have selected four local nonprofit organizations  — El Paso Public Television Foundation, El Paso Symphony Orchestra Association, Inc., Kids Excel El Paso, Inc., and Reynolds House Non-Profit Inc. — to each receive $1,825 Sundt Foundation grants, totaling $7,300 for this quarter.

El Paso Public Television Foundation is a community-owned and operated station that broadcasts non-commercial educational television in the El Paso area. The organization will use the funds to maintain high- quality programming for its viewers.

El Paso Symphony Orchestra Assn., Inc. assures that superior concert music is made available to entertain and educate the multicultural community of the greater El Paso region. The funds will support its cause through special events, educational activities and outreach programs.

Kids Excel El Paso, Inc. will use the funds to support its mission of helping children develop discipline, a standard of excellence, and self-confidence through highly energetic dance programs.

Reynolds House Non-Profit Inc. is a homeless shelter for women and children. It will use the funds to transition families from the Reynolds Home to their own home using its three-pronged axis: financial stability, family cohesion and wellness.

The Sundt Foundation was established by Sundt in 1999 to give its employee-owners a means of giving back to their communities. It provides financial support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. Most grants are made to organizations in the communities where Sundt has offices and construction projects. The Foundation is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employees and company matching. To date, the organization has awarded more than $7 million in donations to organizations throughout Texas, California, Arizona and beyond.
