SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2015) – Sundt Construction, Inc.‘s San Diego employees have selected six local nonprofit organizations to receive Sundt Foundation grants totaling $12,000 this quarter. The Sundt Foundation was established by Sundt in 1999 to give its employee-owners a means of giving back to their communities. It provides financial support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. Most grants are made to organizations in the communities where Sundt has offices and construction projects. The Foundation is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employees and company matching. To date, the organization has awarded more than $7 million in donations to organizations throughout California, Arizona, Texas and beyond.

ElderHelp of San Diego provides personalized services and information to help seniors remain independent and live with dignity in their own homes.

Shep-Ty Inc. DBA Embrace will use the funds to support its efforts in mobilizing college student volunteers to serve less fortunate members of civilian and military veteran communities

Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) will use the grant to provide critical medical care for sick or injured pets of low-income families, senior citizens, veterans and others who cannot afford veterinary bills.

Voices for Children provides Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), who advocate for the rights and well-being of children who pass through foster care in San Diego and Riverside counties. The nonprofit organization also provides permanent housing to abused children in the foster care system.
Wounded Warriors Homes Inc. provides free transitional housing and other comprehensive resources to post- 9/11 combat veterans suffering with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Autism Society San Diego will use the funds to continue its research and outreach to unite and inform parents on new revelations in intervention therapy for autistic children.
