PHOENIX (May 11, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation has selected Madison Jones as its new President and added three new members to its board of directors. Chad Yount will represent the San Antonio region, Barbara Terry represents the North Texas region and Vanessa Lopez will represent the Greater Los Angeles area.
The Sundt Foundation Board of Directors comprises 12 employee-owners, four appointed by the company and eight elected by the membership. The board convenes quarterly to approve grants based on recommendations made by employee-owner committees in each Sundt office.
“We’re incredibly thankful for the hard work and dedication our outgoing board members Terri, Liz and Jim have shown the Foundation over the past few years,” said Jones, who also serves as Sundt’s public relations coordinator. “We look forward to welcoming Chad, Barbara and Vanessa to our board. Each of them brings a fresh perspective that will further the Foundation’s impact throughout each of our communities.”
Jones, who has been on the Foundation’s board of directors representing the Sacramento region for the last two years, has been an active member of the Foundation since joining Sundt in 2018. Jones has assisted in planning and executing the annual Mike Gaines Golf Tournaments that raise funds for the ALS Association in honor of Mike Gaines, a previous Sundt employee-owner who lost his battle with ALS in 2002.
Yount, who replaces Terri Pasley, serves as area manager for Sundt’s Transportation Group in San Antonio. He has been an active member of the Foundation since joining Sundt in 2008.
Terry, Sundt’s application administrator, previously served on the Foundation board and is based in Dallas-Fort Worth. She has participated in the Foundation since 2005 and replaces outgoing board member Liz Harvey.
Lopez, who works as a project engineer in the Irvine office, has been heavily involved with the Foundation. She has worked with other Foundation members within the region on various volunteer efforts. She replaces outgoing board member Jim Householder and has been an active member since joining Sundt in 2018.
Sundt recognizes the importance of community giving. For many employee-owners, the Sundt Foundation is the primary way by which they give back to the communities they call home. To date, it has donated $11 million to various social causes and disaster relief efforts.
