DALLAS (September 16, 2020) – Sundt Construction, Inc. and joint venture partner Trinity Hughes Construction received an award for excellence in safety from Engineering News-Record (ENR) Texas & Louisiana for their work on Midwestern State University’s Centennial Hall. ENR is the construction industry’s principal trade publication.

“Our team is always committed to safety on their jobsites,” said Bob Aniol, Vice President and Dallas Regional Director for Sundt’s Building Group, Texas District. “Centennial Hall was no exception. They safely built this project that will now train our future generations of healthcare professionals.”

The $34.3 million project included a new 88,000-square-foot building to house several programs within the Gunn College of Health Sciences and Human Services, with updated facilities and space for dental hygiene, social work, radiologic sciences, respiratory care and the Wilson School of Nursing.  The new facility includes high-tech laboratories such as an energized radiology lab, respiratory care lab and a nursing simulation lab. The building will also house a dental hygiene clinic on the first floor. The project had a zero OSHA recordable incident rate.

Sundt has 50 years and nearly $3 billion of project work throughout Texas, with offices in Irving, San Antonio and El Paso. The company is near completion of the Southeast Recreation Center in Arlington, Texas and the Denton County Administration Complex Phase III. In May of 2019, Sundt completed the University of North Texas Biomedical Engineering Addition in Denton.
