Tucson, Ariz. (October 18, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $51,500 in grants to 10 Tucson-area charities. The 10 nonprofits were awarded grants ranging in value from $3,000 to $10,000.
“It’s a joy to be able to support the missions of local nonprofit organizations through the Sundt Foundation,” said Amy Bojorquez, the Sundt Foundation’s Tucson region board member. “Their services provide critical resources and support to members of our community.”
Greater Vail Community ReSources has been improving lives in Tucson since 2016 and is powered almost entirely by volunteers. The food bank provides emergency food to families, meals for the home-bound, and supplemental weekend nutrition backpacks for Vail students as well as other short-term service initiatives. They received $10,000 to support their mission.
Aviva Children’s Services received $5,000 to provide essential resources to children in foster care. The organization improves the quality of life for children who are victims of neglect, abuse and poverty. They provide programs that enhance self-esteem and well-being as well as supply clothing, shoes, blankets and personal care items.
Healing Arizona Veterans was awarded $5,000 to continue the treatment of military veterans suffering from combat-related traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder. The treatment utilizes hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and adjunctive therapies at private facilities.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Tucson charities supporting disadvantaged children, individuals and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
