Funds will support disadvantaged children and adults in the community.

San Antonio, Texas (July 14, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $26,000 in grants to seven Central Texas charities.

“We continue to be inspired by the services these nonprofits provide,” said Chad Yount, the Sundt Foundation’s Central Texas board member. “Our employee-owners are thrilled to be able to support their missions.”

The following nonprofits were awarded $4,000 to support their essential services: The Refuge for DMST, Texas Diaper Bank, Project MEND, St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home, San Antonio Threads and Central Texas Table of Grace. The Texas Advocacy Project, Inc. was awarded $2,000.

Through their Refuge Ranch and Refuge Circle of Care program, The Refuge for DMST provides long-term holistic services to girls who have been exploited through sex trafficking.

The Texas Diaper Bank addresses the needs of low-income children and older adults through its Essentials To Your Door (ETYD) program. ETYD incorporates three essential services in one delivery program: diaper assistance, incontinence assistance and period product assistance.

Project MEND has helped thousands of individuals living with disability by providing refurbished medical equipment to anyone who presents a doctor’s prescription.

Supporting children of abuse, St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home provides access to shelter and meals, plus trauma-informed counseling.

San Antonio Threads helps disadvantaged youth continue their education by providing them with new clothing, shoes and hygiene products needed to attend school. They also help students obtain jobs and attend trade schools or college.

Central Texas Table of Grace exists to provide emergency shelter services to foster children and administers the Grace365 Supervised Independent Living program for young adults aging out of foster care.

The Texas Advocacy Project supports economically disadvantaged survivors of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking and stalking.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Central Texas charities that support disadvantaged children and adults. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
