Funds will be used to help underserved members of the community.
Sacramento, Calif. (April 4, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $17,000 in grants to four Sacramento region charities.
“The Sundt Foundation is proud to help the people of Sacramento by supporting the exceptional work of local nonprofits,” said Madison Jones, the Sundt Foundation’s President and Sacramento region board member. “We look forward to seeing the results of their efforts to foster a more welcoming and inclusive community in Sacramento.”
The Arc San Francisco is a learning and achievement center for adults with developmental disabilities working toward creating an equitable and just world in which all individuals with developmental disabilities thrive. It was awarded a $4,000 grant to design the futures of young adults and transform communities through its programs.
The Pride Industries Foundation is a nonprofit working towards creating employment for people with disabilities. The organization received $4,000 to help them build an inclusive community where people with disabilities have equal access to achieve their employment goals.
Women of Color on The Move is a nonprofit organization committed to helping women succeed in their personal lives and community. It received $5,000 to promote its programs for employment, finance management, and its initiatives against substance abuse.
Juma Ventures is a nonprofit social enterprise that operates businesses with the purpose of employing young people. The organization helps job seekers earn a paycheck, learn to manage their money, and gain essential skills like responsibility, teamwork, and ways to communicate effectively in the workplace. Juma was granted $4,000 to support its work in connecting even more jobseekers in the community to their next job and set them on a path to a great career.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Sacramento region charities that support disadvantaged adults, children, and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
