TEMPE, Ariz. (January 30, 2023) – Sundt Construction has promoted Tracy Sanders to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist. Sanders has been with Sundt for 10 years and previously served as Sundt’s Social Responsibility and Community Development Coordinator.
“Tracy is successfully integrating DEI awareness and training into our workforce development efforts,” said Melissa Moreno, Sundt’s Vice President of Admin Workforce Development. “Her advocacy for diverse small businesses contributes to Sundt’s purpose to build prosperity for all the communities where we live and work.”
As DEI Specialist, Sanders is responsible for leading Sundt’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. During the past four years, she has focused on supplier diversity and Sundt’s employee workforce programs—company -wide efforts that require guidance, awareness, education, and ongoing support. She facilitates Sundt’s DEI committee, which assists with executing the company’s DEI initiatives, and coaches Sundt employee-owners across the business about the importance of DEI and how to apply it to the workplace. In addition, she chairs the Greater Arizona initiative with Associated Minority Contractors of Arizona (AMCA) to garner support for Arizona subcontractors.
Sanders attended Auburn University and is continuing to pursue her education in small business and diversity. She is an Alliance Supplier Diversity Professional (ASDP), an Inclusion Institute Certified Diversity Practitioner (IICDP) and a Small Business Liasion Officer (SBLO). Sanders works to ensure that both areas of DEI, workforce and supplier diversity, contribute to a well-rounded DEI approach for Sundt’s employee-owners, vendors and trade partners, and communities.
