SAN ANTONIO (April 20, 2020) – Sundt Construction recently completed the reconstruction of the Seeling Channel near St. Cloud Road in San Antonio 110 days ahead of schedule.
“Our team worked diligently to complete this project ahead of schedule,” said Chad Yount, San Antonio and South Texas area manager in Sundt’s Transportation Group. “By focusing on value engineering and rephrasing, we were able to provide these much-needed improvements nearly four months ahead of schedule. Our team is extremely pleased that the residents in the area will be safer thanks to their work.”
The $15 million improvements to the floodplain included over 50,000 cubic yards of excavation and 10,000 cubic yards of concrete foundation and walls in the channel. The team also demolished and rebuilt the St. Cloud Bridge over the channel and installed water, sewer and gas utilities. Additionally, Sundt reconstructed the roadways of the three streets adjacent to the project.
