RENO, Nev. (Nov. 3, 2015) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) recently completed construction of the new Peavine Hall at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The $35 million project, led by Sundt as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), included demolition of multiple existing buildings and the construction of the 117,000-square-foot, five-story steel and concrete residence hall. Sustainably designed by Collaborative Design Studio, the facility is pending LEED Gold certification and features a brick veneer, suite-style housing for 400 students, common lounge spaces and state-of-the-art building systems.

“Our team’s extensive experience in education construction enabled us to deliver this project on schedule and with minimal disruption to campus life,” said Sundt Vice President Teri Jones. “Peavine Hall is not only an attractive addition to the campus, but it will also address the university’s housing needs as its student population continues to grow.”

Located within the campus’ residential hall “district,” the new building complements the rest of the university’s campus architecture while providing a safe, comfortable environment for students and staff.

As a leader in student housing and sustainable construction, Sundt has also recently completed the LEED Platinum-certified University of California, Davis Tercero Student Housing Phase III building in Davis, California; LEED Gold-certified California State University, Chico Sutter Hall in Chico, California; and the LEED Gold-certified University of California, San Diego Tamarack Apartments in La Jolla, California.
