“Our team faced multiple challenges on this project,” said Project Manager Pat Beal. “Weather impacts had to be worked through and we needed to maintain access for the traveling public on intersection and ramps during multiple phases of construction. Our team worked hard to complete the project and deliver a quality product to the owner.”

The design-bid-build project took three years to complete and included grade separation at Old Fredericksburg, reconfiguration of ramps, reconstruction of the intersection and widened frontage roads to convert to one-way from FM 3351 to Fair Oaks.

In Texas, Sundt has 50 years and nearly $3 billion of project experience, with offices in San Antonio, Fort Worth, Irving and El Paso. The company is currently busy in the downtown San Antonio area working on the San Pedro Creek Improvements, Canopy by Hilton Downtown San Antonio and the CPS Energy Headquarters renovations.
