WICHITA FALLS, Texas (October 9, 2019) – Sundt Construction, Inc. and joint venture partner Trinity Hughes Construction recently participated in the dedication of Midwestern State University’s Centennial Hall, located at the corner of Hampstead Lane and Louis J. Rodriguez Drive.
“We’re proud to create an environment where Midwestern State can grow its healthcare program and increase its enrollment on campus,” said Bob Aniol, Vice President and Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Director for Sundt’s Building Group, Texas District. “I’m extremely proud of our team on this project. We really tried to maximize participation from the local workforce and had a consistent level of services from our key trade partners to finish this project.”
The $34.3 million project included a new 88,000-square-foot building to house several programs within the Gunn College of Health Sciences and Human Services, with updated facilities and space for dental hygiene, social work, radiologic sciences, respiratory care and the Wilson School of Nursing. The new facility includes high-tech laboratories such as an energized radiology lab, respiratory care lab and a nursing simulation lab. The building will also house a dental hygiene clinic on the first floor.
The joint venture started the project in 2017 and completed it last month to welcome students for the fall semester. Randall Scott Architects served as the architect for the construction manager at risk project.
Sundt has 50 years and nearly $3 billion of project work throughout Texas, with offices in Fort Worth, Irving, San Antonio and El Paso. Trinity Hughes | Sundt completed the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport terminal replacement in 2014 and the Wichita Falls ISD Career and Technology Center in 2016.
