Sundt’s first major Intermountain Region municipal pipeline project will support growth in Utah.
Salt Lake City, Utah (April 4, 2023) Sundt’s Transportation Group has started work on the CL-N1 66″ Parallel Westside Interceptor Pipeline Project for Timpanogos Special Service District in Lehi and Saratoga Springs, Utah. The $34 million project will support the rapid growth in Utah County, Utah by increasing sewage capacity.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to build another critical infrastructure project in the Intermountain Region,” said Jasen Bennie, Area Manager for Sundt Construction. “We are positive that this new pipeline will be a great asset and will help accommodate the growth in Utah County. Timpanogos Special Service District has entrusted us to build this significant and crucial project, and we look forward to developing a long-lasting partnership with them.”
Sundt will be installing a new 60″ sewer pipeline on the North side of Utah Lake along 7350 North in Lehi and Saratoga Springs, Utah. It will be approximately 11,000 linear feet of Hobas fiberglass reinforced sewer pipe encased in flow fill with Armorock polymer manholes along the pipe alignment. The new sewer line will carry additional flows to accommodate the population growth on the west side of Utah County. Sundt will also be installing new diversion structures, a metering station, extensive dewatering and bypass pumping, and utility line relocations. This project is expected to complete in the winter of 2024.
Sundt has been building critical infrastructure across the western United States for more than 130 years. The firm is currently working on the new Water Reclamation Facility for Salt Lake City’s Department of Public Utilities and the I-86 & I-15 System Interchange Reconstruction for the Idaho Department of Transportation.
