SAN ANTONIO (November 8, 2018) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) began construction last month on the One Riverwalk Plaza parking structure in San Antonio. The building and parking structure are located at 400 N St. Mary’s St. in San Antonio. The office tower is owned by USAA.
Construction is starting with the relocation of a new cooling tower and various utilities, before demolition and then construction of a new six-story addition for the structure, which will include a new elevator and access to the Riverwalk. Once complete, 200 new spaces will be added to the parking garage along with upgrades and architectural features.
“We’re proud to contribute to the continued growth along the Riverwalk,” said David Musch, Project Manager. “With the completion of the project, the One Riverwalk Plaza will have more space and upgraded features.”
Sundt is serving as the Construction Manager at Risk for the project, which is expected to be completed by the summer of 2019.
Sundt has 50 years and nearly $3 billion of project work throughout Texas with offices in San Antonio, Fort Worth, Irving and El Paso. The company’s current projects in San Antonio include the San Pedro Creek Improvements Project, a joint venture with Davila Construction, the CPS Energy Headquarters renovation and the new Canopy by Hilton, San Antonio along the Riverwalk.
