SAN DIEGO, Calif. (October 11, 2019) – Sherry Saroufeem and John Theofanides are new employee-owners at Sundt Construction, Inc., joining the company’s San Diego office.
“We’re excited to bring both Sherry and John on board,” said Ryan Nessen, Sundt’s Vice President and San Diego Regional Director for the Building Group, California District. “Both of them will add a diverse skillset to our team on the San Diego Airport Support Facilities project.”
Both Saroufeem and Theofanides will join the San Diego International Airport’s Air Support Facilities project as field engineers. Saroufeem has worked twice with Sundt in the past as an intern, while earning her bachelor’s degree in construction management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She had previously interned for international firms working on jobsites in Cairo, Egypt and Westersted, Germany.
Theofanides also earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While earning his degree, he was involved with the Associated Students of Construction Management (ASCM) and the Associated Schools of Construction’s region 7 and 6 competition in Reno, Nev., of which Sundt has been an active sponsor.
Sundt has over 70 years of diverse project experience throughout the state of California. The company has offices in San Diego, Irvine and Sacramento. Sundt is currently is working on the San Diego International Airport (SDIA) Support Facilities project, as well as the Emerson-Bandini Elementary site modification project.
