At the University of California, Davis, Sundt is wrapping up work on Tercero Student Housing Phase III (Tercero 3), a dormitory complex that will accommodate approximately 1,200 students when it opens its doors this fall.
Tercero 3 spans 330,000 square feet across seven four-story buildings. Multiple lounges, study areas, computer centers and gathering spaces are also part of the complex, which surrounds a landscaped courtyard. Bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly pathways are woven throughout a diverse landscape of mature trees and native plants.
The student housing construction project – designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification – is helping the university fulfill its sustainability goals, one of which is to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to year 2000 levels.
