Safety Week is off to a busy start at Sundt’s job sites across the Southwest.
On Monday morning, our team at the Tucson International Airport project listened to a presentation from partner Sun Mechanical Contracting, the crew at the Valley Metro Gilbert Light Rail Extension in Greater Phoenix got an early start with a talk from a representative from Border Products about encouraging a culture of safety and Kenyon Scaffolding was at our University of the Pacific student housing site in Stockton, California for full-scale training.
Events taking place later in the week include a simulated confined space rescue at our Stone Oak Park & Ride project in San Antonio, fire and earthquake drills at our Irvine and San Diego offices and a tool-tethering demonstration at our Wichita Falls Independent School District site.
The mission of Safety Week is to collectively raise the awareness of the construction industry’s continuing commitment to eliminating worker injury, and to clearly communicate its dedication to a shared culture of care and concern and the belief that every week must be Safety Week. This is the third year we have served as a sponsor of the event.
Our Safety by Choice program focuses on both how and why workers need to be safe. We encourage our employee-owners to make good choices so they can go home safely each day to enjoy time with family and friends.
Please follow our blog and social media (Facebook and Twitter) to keep up with the many things we do as a company to keep our people safe.
