More than 80 Sundt employees, friends and family members raised their heartrates while participating in the 2015 Phoenix Heart Walk on March 21. Not only did they have fun and get in a good workout – they also raised more than $23,000 to bring awareness to heart disease and stroke, which claim more than 800,000 lives each year.
“Great job, Sundt walkers!” said Sundt Southwest District Manager Marty Hedlund. “Together we raised $23,595 through the walk itself, and with the help of some loyal subcontractor partners we raised an additional $22,500 in a prior construction event supporting the Phoenix Heart Walk. That brings our grand total to $46,095 to aid in heart and stroke research and treatment. This is truly an accomplishment for us and the Sundt Foundation in our effort to help combat the number one and number four killers of Americans.”
