Project Overview
Built in 1969, this three-story, 66,765-square-foot facility is undergoing a transformation, including full seismic rehabilitation, accessibility and fire life safety upgrades. Key additions also include a recital hall, gallery spaces and collaborative work areas. A critical aspect of the renovation is the seismic retrofit, ensuring the building’s safety and longevity. The seismic retrofit to the facility’s foundation included 250 steel-driven piles, 50 concrete caissons, carbon fiber reinforcing and shotcrete.
The Sundt team has worked closely with the designer to ensure the renovation reflects the building’s artistic purpose, which were thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. The project is scheduled to reach completion in summer 2026.
