Santa Monica High School’s new science and technology building will be complete next spring.

The 3,000 students who attend Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, Calif., will soon be taking classes and conducting research in their new, state-of-the-art science and technology building, which is being constructed by Sundt. The three-story, 68,000-square-foot building includes laboratories, an auto shop, administration space, classrooms and more. The project team is finishing construction of the building and performing associated site work.

The $55 million, K-12 school construction project has a modern design based on the extensive use of stainless steel mesh, perforated metal panels, and glass. It is Sundt’s first project for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.
