Sundt Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce that Shawn Yeager has joined us as a senior estimator in our Tempe office. Shawn brings more than 10 years of industry experience to his new role, in which he will lead preconstruction efforts in Arizona with a special focus on industrial and mining projects. We recently spent a little time talking with Shawn, and this is what we learned.
What is it about Sundt that has led you to make your career here?
Being that Sundt is a 100-percent employee-owned company, it is clear how valued the people are. I wanted to be a part of a company that cares about me as a person while simultaneously putting me in the perfect position to capitalize and grow with re-emerging industrial markets.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Opportunity rarely knocks twice.”
What motivates you?
My wife and kids.
How do you alleviate stress?
I love to go fly fishing! It gives you a goal to focus on while calming you at the same time – it’s great!
What is your all-time favorite film?
Lonesome Dove.
If you weren’t in construction, what would you be doing?
I would be raising horses somewhere beautiful.
