What brought you to Sundt?
I was drawn to Sundt because of the company’s diverse range of projects and its ability to build at a high level of quality. I also was drawn by its commitment to integrity in construction, which is something I strongly believe in.
What does a typical work day for you involve?
A typical day is assisting the project manager and superintendents with submittal processing, RFIs, updating logs, and onsite tasks such as punchlists and inspection walks. I have been doing some logistics planning as well using Sketchup for the upcoming San José State University Campus Village Phase 2 project and preconstruction of UC Davis Tercero Phase IV project.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working in construction?
I would most likely be pursuing a career in medicine. Growing up, I wanted to become a doctor but the challenge and excitement of constructing awesome structures lured me away from that field.
What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Seafood – particularly crab legs and clams.
What’s the best book you’ve read recently?
“Inferno” by Dan Brown.
Favorite sources for news?
I have several apps on my phone that I check, and then I catch the local news in the morning or when I get home.
What’s the best advice you’ve received?
The best advice I’ve ever received is from my mom when she told me I should apply to work at Sundt.

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Are you a dog person or cat person?
I am a dog person. I have two of my own, a miniature schnauzer and a black lab/ boxer mix.
