We’re pleased to announce that Michael Benz has joined Sundt as a project engineer in our recently opened San José office. With more than 13 years of combined experience as a construction superintendent and project manager, Michael oversees project procurement, forecasting, contracts, scheduling and estimating. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Fresno State University. We recently asked Michael a few questions to get to know him better:
What brought you to Sundt?
I have had my eye on Sundt for a while, so I would have to say it was just good timing.
What’s a typical work day like for you?
My typical day consists of updating Digital Record Drawings, processing Requests for Information, and reviewing contract documents.
Which project are you currently assigned to?
The King’s County Courthouse in Hanford, California.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working in construction?
Building custom motorcycles
Favorite type of cuisine?
Sushi
What’s the best movie you’ve seen recently?
“Captain America.” I like all the comic book movies.
