Tell us about your favorite Sundt project.
The Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex at Sacramento State is particularly meaningful because I can share it with my family. I love taking my son to shows at the planetarium, instilling a passion for learning and discovery in the next generation.
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose and why?
I would love the ability to read minds! I’ve always been fascinated by the way people think and make decisions.
What movie or television character do you relate to most and why?
The character I relate to the most (or want to relate to) is Veronica Mars. She’s always inspired me because of her loyalty, protectiveness and sense of justice. I also thought she was so awesome as a young female private investigator – so cool!
Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?
Construction is in my blood. My dad was an interior finish carpenter, and some of my best memories are of going to Home Depot with him before he dropped me off at school. As I grew older, I realized that construction isn’t just about creating buildings; it’s about shaping communities and improving the quality of life for those who use the spaces we build.
Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.
I love reading and am always looking for new books. I also love hiking and backpacking—being outdoors helps me disconnect and recharge.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Hawaii holds a special place in my heart, but I’m excited to explore new destinations. I have a long list of places I want to visit around the world.
