The majority of likely voters in Arizona support the implementation of the state’s K-12 educational standards, called Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards (Common Core). That’s according to a survey conducted on behalf of Expect More Arizona and the Arizona Public Engagement Task Force. Click here for more details.
Expect More Arizona is a nonpartisan movement of Arizonans who are committed to ensuring that all Arizona children receive a world-class education that prepares them to succeed in college, career and in life. Sundt is a charter member of the organization and has been actively involved in its advocacy work and initiatives.
“Sundt is dependent upon our education system at all levels to produce the talent that is the most important element in determining our success,” said Richard Condit, Sundt’s Corporate Director of Administration. “Arizona’s commitment to raising the bar on basic academic standards is good for our students, Sundt and the state’s economy.”
The survey also showed that two thirds of voters favor implementation of a new test that is aligned to the standards, but that most Arizonans know very little about them. For that reason, Expect More Arizona and the Task Force have launched the Arizona Aims Higher campaign to provide more information about the standards and build support for them.
