Sundt’s Office Services and Facilities team is getting noticed.
The department and its Director recently earned awards from the International Facilities Management Association Greater Phoenix Chapter. The department won the 2015 Professional Company of the Year Award and Ellisa De Rosa was named 2015 Professional Member of the Year.
Winners are chosen based on contributions to the Chapter and the Facility Management Profession. Over the past few years, we have sponsored events and hosted Chapter Facility Management Professional and Certified Facility Manager education classes.
In announcing the department award, Chapter President Stephen Georgoulis wrote: “Sundt has provided our instructors and students access to facilities at no cost. Without these offerings, our Chapter would have had to charge fees that would likely prevent some of our potential students from achieving their professional goals.”
This is the second time Ellisa has won the individual honor. A Professional Member’s primary responsibilities are to provide, oversee or teach one or more Facility Management core competency courses. For the past four years, Ellisa has served as a board member and led multiple committees. She has mentored an Arizona State University student studying Facilities Management and hosts four ASU interns as part of its Del E. Webb School of Construction Project Management Masters course curriculum. In addition, she volunteers for her chapter at events and meetings.
“Ellisa is the classic team player and can be counted on to complete any task she is assigned while helping to expand the visibility and merits of the Facilities Management profession within our community,” Georgoulis wrote.
