Two critical projects are nearing completion at an Army installation that supports the world’s only air assault division.
Fort Campbell is located along the Kentucky-Tennessee line between Hopkinsville, Ky., and Clarksville, Tenn. It’s home to the 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
We’re completing work this week on a 110,000-square-foot, three-story barracks. The 296-person facility provides soldiers with modern housing accommodations similar to nearby apartment complexes. Each unit has two bedrooms, a shared kitchenette and one shared bathroom.
A group support battalion is on track to finish in January. The two-story, 104,000-square-foot building will house battalion-level operations and five companies, including language lab, sustainment and distribution, maintenance and three forward support companies. The work is being performed as a joint venture with United Builders Group.
We have already constructed a 91,000-square-foot barracks complex at Fort Campbell and are hoping to win a sister project to the group support battalion.
Our success at Fort Campbell earned Sundt a position among the Army Corps of Engineers’ General Contractors of Choice.
