Sundt’s commitment to the future of the construction industry was on display last week at the Associated Schools of Construction Student Competition in Sparks, Nevada.
The ASC is the professional association for the development and advancement of construction education, where sharing ideas and knowledge inspires, guides and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research and service.
Our company was represented at the competition by 19 employee-owners as well as students from more than three dozen colleges and universities. The conference is a good venue for finding the best interns who eventually could become important contributors as employee-owners.
We sponsored the Concrete Solutions category of the competition. Sponsors put real-life issues before teams of college students who are tasked with developing the best approaches to solving those problems. A team from the University of Florida won the concrete category.
“The event is a vital recruiting tool for companies that are looking to retain the best talent in the industry. By sponsoring the concrete problem, we display our brand front and center for all the students and industry to see,” said Talent Acquisition Specialist Michael Morales.
